Our Computer Club meets every Friday. Ms. Nolan and Ms. Lynch supervise the computer club. At the moment we are working with LEGO Mindstorms kits. This kind of LEGO is built around a yellow RCX brick which can be programmed by the computer. So far we have done some creative building and made gear walls. We are working towards a project based on the theme of the explorer Tom Crean. We would like to present our work at the Roboshow in St. Patrick's College of Education.

Our Project on Lego by ND, 4th class

We are doing a project based on Tom Crean using Lego. We got the idea from our class novel because our novel is Tom Crean. We are making sledges and we are going to attach the animals on to the front of the sledges. Last week we did gear walls to get used to gears. Also we are going to make boats and going to do people getting on and off it.
Lego by HC, 4th class

Lego is so much fun. I could play with Lego for ages and not get bored. A while ago I thought Lego was just some little bricks that you build to make little things but it's not. You can make lots of great stuff with Lego. Now with Lego you can make moving motors and boats go and gears. Lego can come in all different shapes and sizes and I think it's so so much fun to play with. We are making Tom Crean things with Lego, me RF, A,C, ND, E, R and Ms. Lynch and Ms. Nolan. We are making the little people including Tom Crean and a ship, a sledge and maybe a tent and snow dogs. I am so glad to be in the group and we are going to work hard and make really nice things. The other girls in the class are making a background for us. I'm sure all together it will look so so great. We looked at things on the internet and they were great so we got some ideas of what we are going to do. So we are making Tom Crean things and Lego is so much fun to play with and the things you can do with Lego are very very cool!
