Thanks to all who attended our recent AGM. We elected our new Committee members as follows:

Chairperson - Aisling Cumiskey

Secretary - Elaine Pettigrew

Treasurer - Noeleen Murphy

The other members of the Committee are Maria Dillon, Lorraine Preston, Catherine O' Beirne & Lisa Ronan.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Catherine O' Beirne for her many years of commitment to the Parents' Committee and for all her hard work fundraising for the schools.

If you are interested in one of the many classes available to parents check out the webpage of our HSCL coordinator Brigid Hallahan-Lyons. These courses are a great way to meet other parents and learn a new skill or just have fun!

Weekly Raffle

Our weekly raffle takes place every Friday for both schools. We would like to inform parents that due to the recession the maximum a pupil can bring in is €1 per week towards raffle tickets.
Savings Club
The Savings Club takes place every Friday for both schools, a pupil can join at any time, please come along any Friday morning and speak to a committee member.
Copper Jars

Many Thanks for your ongoing support

The Committee

The copper jars are back in the classrooms again this year, so keep any spare change and give it to your daughter towards our fundraising. The class that gets the highest amount will receive a prize for the whole class at the end of the school year!! Every 'cent' counts!
A copy of the new Code of Behaviour which was devised by parents, teachers & pupils is now available to download from our Policies page. You will all have received a copy to keep at home as well.

The Parents' Committee

We meet each Friday in the Staffroom in St. Eithne's. The weekly raffle and the savings' club take place that day. Our savings' club has proved to be very successful. This enables parents to set aside some money each week for school books, uniforms and school tours. Any withdrawals are to be in written form by parents and given to committee members on Friday morning only.

Fundraising
Last year we did the following to fundraise for the schools: Christmas Coffee Morning, Easter Coffee Morning, Weekly Raffle, Non Uniform Days, Copper Jars.

Last year we spent the money fundraised on: flowers for Confirmation, Communion etc., Sports Day refreshments and medals for both schools, end of year disco, 6th class graduation gifts, €1,000 towards new art room and supplies in St. Monica's, €1,000 for digital cameras and listening stations in St. Eithne's

Keep in touch!
New members are welcome, wanted and always needed! Keep an eye on the Parents' Association noticeboard on the main corridor to keep informed of what's going on. Remember we will be in the school every Friday morning so drop in any time to see us.
