St. Eithne's Parents' Association News

Thanks to all who came to our recent meeting. We welcome all our new members and are grateful for all the support we get.
If you are interested in one of the many classes available to parents check out the webpage of our new HSCL coordinator Brigid Hallahan-Lyons. These courses are a great way to meet other parents and learn a new skill or just have fun!
A copy of the new Code of Behaviour which was devised by parents, teachers & pupils is now available to download from our Policies page. You will all have received a copy to keep at home as well.

The Parents' Committee

We meet each Friday in the Staffroom in St. Eithne's. The weekly raffle and the savings' club take place that day. Our savings' club has proved to be very successful. This enables parents to set aside some money each week for school books, uniforms and school tours. Any withdrawals are to be in written form by parents and given to committee members on Friday morning only.
Members of the Committee are as follows:
Joanne Brady - Chairperson
Emma Lynch - Treasurer
Maria Dillon - Secretary
Noeleen Murphy - Savings Club

Fundraising
We recently donated €6000 towards the new playground. All the girls are really enjoying using this new facility. We are grateful for all the support which made this possible. Please keep supporting us as all the money we raise goes straight back into the schools to benefit your daughters.

Keep in touch!
New members are welcome, wanted and always needed! Keep an eye on the Parents' Association noticeboard on the main corridor to keep informed of what's going on. Remember we will be in the school every Friday morning so drop in any time to see us.

St. Eithne's hits the headlines!
Pictured here at the An Post awards ceremony are Parents' Committee members Emma Lynch and Noeleen Murphy together with pupils Jessica Lynch and Jennifer Murphy receiving their award from the Chief Executive of An Post.  Jessie and Jennifer also featured on the cover of the An Post magazine.

Parents - please note that our enrolment form is now available to download from our Policies page. This means that if your are unable to call into the school during opening hours to collect one you can print a copy from your own computer. If you can think of anything else you would like to see on the school website please contact us with your ideas - we would love to hear them!
