out Ms. Curry's fantastic garden
blog which shows all the recent progress made in our school
garden. Sadly Taddle the froglet went to the big pond in the sky

Well done

who have just chosen their first book! |

Here
is Ms. Bradley and some of her pupils
enjoying a comfortable seat while they read in the library! |
| One
of our 5th class pupils put a smile on the face of former taoiseach
Bertie Ahern in Croke Park
recently - or maybe he is just happy to be retired! |
|
We
have updated our Work and Activities
pages so check them out to see what great work we have been doing
her in St. Eithne's! |
| Some
of our talented GAA players touched hallowed turf in Croke
Park as they played a starring role at the TG4
Championship launch recently, representing different counties
around Ireland. |

An evaluation
of the quality of teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics
in St. Eithne's was undertaken in December 2007. The report has
been posted on the DES website www.education.ie
The report is very positive and affirming of the work being presently
done in the school. A number of recommendations are also included,
as well as the school's response to the findings. Click here
to read the report. |
Thanks
to everyone who brought in artefacts for our artefacts day .
We have taken photographs of the items, or scanned them in where
possible. We now have our very own museum area, which is located
near the new staffroom. If you are in the school go and take
a look. If you find any more objects of historical interest
e.g. old coins, household appliances etc. feel free to bring
them in. One of the girls brought in the ration book that you
can see in the picture on the right! Ms.
Curry's dad brought in an iron, an oil lamp and a working
gramophone and records. The girls in 2nd had great fun listening
to the old Irish music.
